Natwar Parikh Health Center, Resettlement Township Healthcare Centre (MMRDA & DFY) 2nd October 2010
In association with Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), Doctors for You has initiated a permanent Health Centre for Natwar Parikh Nagar Slum Resettlement Township, Govandi in Mumbai. The health-centre is located within the township to provide easy access to healthcare to all the residents of the area. Health centre also runs daily OPD, especial Monsoon fever OPD, Chronic disease OPD & Full ANC check up for the Community. We conduct many health education sessions related with Immunization, Nutrition, Contraception and Exclusive Breast feeding Promotion. Monthly health camps will be also be conducted as per the need of community.
The Health center primarily caters to 4500 families (31,500 individuals) of the Natwar Parikh compound and Gautam Nagar resettlement colony of MMRDA.It has general pediatrics OPD, Tuberculosis OPD. Injection/ dressing OPD, Chronic OPD, Gynecology various critical components of National health Mission like Immunization, Polio eradication. Maternal and child care, etc.The center is also effectively counseling target population on socially sensitive subjects like family planning and sexually transmitted infections. Since April 2011, oral health services with a fully functioning dental OPD and RNTCP (tuberculosis OPD and DOTS center) services were also started.
RALLY FOR HEALTH,NOVEMBER, 2011

Doctors for You in association Cross Culture Care and Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai will conduct an auto rickshaw 'Rally for heath', the basic aim of which is to spread awareness against tobacco consumption and also motivate tobacco consumers to quit it for better health. This rally is scheduled from Mumbai to Delhi and will take place from 4th to 27th November,2011. The participants of this rally consist of 14 doctors in all out of which 7 will be from U.S and Canada and the rest from Doctors for you India. They will travel through different states; organize Health Camp on specified places & time on the route, some health camps will also be organized in deserts & remote villages.
